The Lane End Conference Centre, Buckinghamshire, has used its new supest broadband to stream a conference at up to 100Mb/second to delegates in 47 countries.

Client JATO Dynamics, which is a provider of data intelligence to the automotive industry, was able to present its 120-delegate event at Lane End to colleagues around the world.

Lane End recently upgraded its free broadband as part of a major refurbishment programme. Its broadband connection is rated Grade A+, putting it in the top one per cent in the UK.

Eight speakers addressed JATO delegates and their presentations were streamed live around the world and then later made available for viewing on video.

The event was organised by corporate events and teambuilding agency, The MotivAction Group, which is based in Stevenage, Hertfordshire.

JATO’s one-day event featured a morning of business presentations in the morning followed by an afternoon of teambuilding which included segways, a rocket-building challenge, air rifle scrabble, in which competitors had to spell words by shooting at target letters and hockey basketball, dribbling a ball up the field before scoring points by shooting for a basket.

“Supest broadband is vitally important in today’s conference market,” says Lane End Sales and Marketing Manager, Heni Fourie. “Increasingly, we are hosting more and more events which combine webcasting and video conferencing with traditional meetings.

“We see this trend growing quickly in the immediate future and are determined to remain at the forefront,” he added.

Lane End Conference Centre offers five self-contained suites of meeting facilities at the 26-acre countryside location. The centre has recently undergone a major refurbishment programme, enhancing its conference and training venues, residential accommodation and dining facilities.
