Industry pays tribute to Arthur Somerset

The events industry has paid its respects to Arthur Somerset who passed away on Wednesday.

The events industry has paid its respects to Arthur Somerset who passed away on Wednesday (25/7).
 
The Director of Events at Forman’s Fish Island, the closest venue to the London 2012 Olympic Stadium, had 20 years of experience in the events industry. He was the President of The International Special Events Society between 2002 and 2004, had won numerous awards for his work and spoke at events all over the world.
 
Speaking through Twitter, Londonlaunch’s Founder Will Broome said: “Just devastated to hear the tragically sad news about the event industry’s most flamboyant figure passing away.”
 
Plaster Communication’s MD Graham Brown said: “I am shocked and saddened to hear Arthur Somerset will no longer grace us with his inspirational exuberance. Party on sir.”
 
Imagination’s Director Richard Foulkes said: “RIP my friend Arthur Somerset. A legend who made everyone laugh, brilliant, quirky, funny, smart and artie.”
