Leicestershire-based international healthcare events market specialist Universal WorldEvents has continued to support the winner of the Leeds Metropolitan University Student of the Year award, and presented award-winner Bethany Parkinson with a travel bursary on 23 July 2012.
Bethany achieved a first class honours degree and was named winner of the award on the Event Management Degree Course. The prize can be used towards furthering Bethany’s career in the conference and incentive industry now she has graduated.
“Bethany has excelled in her degree course in event management and will be an asset to the industry,” says Sales and Marketing Manager at WorldEvents, Luke Flett. “At Universal WorldEvents, we believe it is vital to support graduates as the event planners of the future and have recently launched an undergraduate placement scheme to further support this.
“We sponsor the award as it recognises talented graduates and helps to highlight the importance of event management such as those offered by Leeds Metropolitan University,” he adds.
