Prime Minister David Cameron paid a visit to Imago’s Link Hotel in Loughborough on 5 July.
The PM addressed local Conservative Party members at the three-star hotel addition to the conference complex.
The PM’s own event followed a tour of the ‘Team GB experience’ at Imago’s exhibition centre, Holywell Park, where 550 athletes are being kitted out for London 2012 July.
Keith Barber, imago Operations Manager, said: “It was fantastic to welcome such a high profile guest following all of the excitement of the torch relay which happened earlier in the week.
“The team at The Link had chance to talk to the Prime Minister and we joked about how busy we had been since the athletes had started to arrive on campus.
“We’ve held conferences and dinners for the Conservative Party in the past. The hotel’s location minutes from the M1 makes it ideal for delegates coming from across Leicestershire.”
