Centaur Exhibitions has appointed a further two managers to its team to oversee the new Meetings Show UK, which launches at Olympia on 9-11 July 2013.
The organiser has recruited Julie Mayeras as its Hosted Buyer Manager to
oversee £1m of budget earmarked to deliver 1,500 qualified buyers from
across the UK and Europe. Mayeras previously spent six years with the
Atout France tourist board focused on the meetings industry including
three years focused on the UK and Irish markets.
Mayeras will be joined by new Sales Manager Adam Garside, who will work
alongside Sales Director Katy Phelps on attracting exhibitors and
suppliers to the show. He was formerly Group Sales Manager for a
portfolio of events at IML Group.
“While these roles were always a part of our strategic plan, the need
for another sales manager role has been accelerated to support the
significant interest we are seeing in the show,” Meetings Show UK Event Director Steve Knight (pictured) explained.
“As a show organised by meeting professionals for meeting professionals,
it is vital that all our team, including hosted buyer and sales
managers, have significant industry knowledge and expertise. Through
various roles, both Julie and Adam have a combined total of 15 years
experience with the meetings industry, clearly demonstrating their
credibility and knowledge.”
The team on the Meetings Show UK recently announced a strategic marketing partnership with The Oysters, a collection of 20 UK offices of international tourist boards and convention bureaus, for the inaugural show.
