Business organisations, agents and bookers were invited to the official launch of The Playground at The Belfry, a new 4,500sqm outdoor teambuilding area at the resort in Wishaw, Sutton Coldfield.
The Belfry has formed a partnership with teambuilding companies Black Clover from Birmingham and Oldham-based Team Spirit to run outdoor and indoor activities, motivational events, conference energisers and themed evenings.
A previously disused field the size of a Premier League football pitch has been transformed to host a wide range of large outdoor teambuilding and corporate events while the indoor activities will take place in the resort’s conference suites.
Sharon Jezeph, Head of Group Sales and Events at The Belfry, said staff from Team Spirit ran taster sessions of The Haka and a Samba band to give those who attended the chance to learn a few basic moves and sounds. “For those slightly braver, Black Cover brought along the 60ft Ultimate Wipeout which is a giant inflatable course that needs stamina to get across as well as good communication skills within each team,” she added.
