The International Convention Centre (ICC) Birmingham has won its bid to retain the Oracle Technology and E-Business Suite conference for 2012.

The UK Oracle Group (UK OUG) conference, which takes place on 3 November 2012, will attract over 1,700 attendees from the UK and internationally and is expected to generate an economic impact of £1.5m for the city.

UK OUG has worked with the ICC for over 15 years and Business Development Director for the ICC, Catherine Newhall-Caiger, said: “We were really pleased with the success of last year’s conference and are delighted that UK OUG has decided to return this year. This year’s conference will be the 18th time UK OUG has hosted an event at the ICC.

“Last year, as well as assisting with the event management of the conference, we designed and managed the creative side of the social programme for the three days and have again come up with concepts for this years event.”

The three-day conference will feature over 250 presentations, and Oracle will unveil its latest product roadmaps.
