Convention Centre Dublin wins coloproctology annual meeting

The Convention Centre Dublin (CCD) has won the contract to host the European Society of Coloproctology Annual Meeting.
 
The event will take place 23 to 25 September 2015 and is expected to attract 1,000 international delegates from Europe, Middle East, Asia, Australia, South America and beyond.
 
“We have a shortlist of criteria to help us select our event venues and the CCD ticked all of the boxes,” said Professor Ronan O’Connell, President in Waiting of the European Society of Coloproctology.
 
“The committee members were also pleasantly surprised by the good value that Dublin offers, which our international delegates will greatly appreciate.”
 
Attended by international colorectal surgeons, the annual scientific meeting will consist of industry related symposia, educational sessions, an exhibition as well as an opportunity to network and build relationships within the industry.
 
“We are delighted to attract the European Society of Coloproctology’s annual meeting to The CCD,” said the CCD’s Head of Conferences, Marie Lawlor.
 
“With over 2,200 new cases of colorectal cancer per year in Ireland, this event will help to highlight and share research for this illness and all of the conditions associated with this important field of medicine. It will also be a pleasure to welcome ESCP delegates and make sure they enjoy their time in Dublin with us,” she added.
