Event management company Grapevine Events is celebrating its first year in business during what it calls “an extremely hostile and unstable economic environment”.

Established in May 2011, Grapevine Events delivers UK conferences, dinners and talks, which have included working with the Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg, the Israeli Ambassador His Excellency Daniel Taub and Cabinet Secretary Sir Gus O’Donnell.

“Aware of the decrease in events across most sectors including corporate and hospitality, Grapevine Events embarked on setting up the business based on the belief that events are crucial to UK businesses and the economy,” said Susan Edwards, Company Director.

“When we launched the business back in May 2011, we encountered some negativity specifically around starting an event management business during a recession. While this was obviously a worry to us, our passion and belief that events can really benefit the UK business economy kept the business alive.

“We are keen to promote good practice within the industry and we want to showcase that events can deliver on objectives, make a return on investment and most of all show that events can be beneficial on so many levels.”
