The strength of Fife’s tourism businesses and meeting facilities has been showcased to a group of Scotland’s conference organisers. The two-day event, hosted by VisitScotland’s Business Tourism Unit and Fife Council, has seen 10 of Scotland’s meetings and conference organisers visit west Fife, highlighting the range of unique and purpose-built venues for holding meetings and conferences.
The Boathouse, Aberdour, The Bay Hotel, Kinghorn, Balbirnie House Hotel, Cluny Clays, Keavil House Hotel, Carnegie Conference centre, Dunfermline Football Club, Garvock House Hotel and Knockhill Racing Circuit all took part in the familiarisation trip which could in turn contribute significantly to the business.
Business tourism has an integral role in the Scottish economy; the most recent research showing that 2.8m business trips were taken, contributing £809m to Scotland.
