London event space, Altitude 360, has been told by search engine giant Google that it is the first London venue to use its new service, Google Places.

The new offering enables users to see a virtual tour of venues, restaurants and bars and is simalr to Google’s current ‘street view’ function, giving visitors another level of viewing a property while online.

The service remains in its infancy in London and its tour capabilities are created using a series of photographs, which are uploaded for viewing a venue’s page on Google Places.

“The new service for Google Places is destined to be a hit in the events industry, giving event organisers an invaluable new tool to help in their selection process,” says the venue’s Marketing Director, Peter Kerwood. “Easy navigation and high quality images make this an invaluable resource for venues, restaurants and bars.”
