Aberdeen is to welcome hundreds of top geologists, geophysicists and engineers this week for the 9th Annual DEVEX Conference.

The event, hosted at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC), takes place 9-10 May and is run jointly by the Petroleum Exploration Society of Great Britain (PESGB), the Society for Petroleum Engineers (SPE) and the Aberdeen Formulation Evaluation Society (AFES).

As a key knowledge-sharing event for the oil and gas industry, leaders will pass on their experience and knowledge of innovation and entrepreneurialism in the sector throughout the event.

Jason White, DEVEX 2012 Chairman says: “Now in its ninth year, the conference is well established. Our theme this year ‘Creativity and Innovation in Field Exploitation’ is immensely important to the future success of the oil and gas industry and the presentations and posters will show just how healthy the industry is in that respect.

Brian Horsburgh, AECC’s Managing Director says: “This important annual conference is a key event in our annual calendar and as the National Energy Exhibition Centre we are pleased to welcome the DEVEX Committee and Delegates again for the ninth year.”
