Mica Paris has stepped in to entertain conference buyers attending the ManchesterLive destination showcase event next Thursday (10 May). The soul singer replaces former M People singer, Heather Small, who pulled out, according to the organisers “due to unforeseen circumstances”.
Mica Paris made an immediate impact on the UK music scene in 1988 when she released her debut, platinum-selling album So Good from which she had her first top ten hit, You Are My One Temptation.
More recently, she has presented on BBC Radio 2, taken part in ITV’s Celeb Air and permed at the 90th birthday celebrations of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
Paul Simpson, Managing Director of Visit Manchester, said: “We’re delighted that Mica will be perming at ManchesterLive. She is one of the UK’s most respected female singers and we’re sure she’ll be a hit with our guests.
“More than 400 people have pre-registered to attend the event and we’re looking forward to showing them what Manchester has to offer the conference organiser.”
ManchesterLive takes place, 10 May, at The Roof Gardens, Kensington, London.
