The Crown Foundation, the Crown Group’s charitable arm, has celebrated its third birthday by launching a new logo and website for 2012. The charity is also celebrating after raising £150,000 from fundraising.
The Foundation, set up in 2008 by the food, venue and events agency, was initially created to support charitable causes. Three years on, it has become an integral part of the company’s CSR activity.
The Foundation has reached the £150,000 milestone through the fundraising efforts of its staff including the climbing of Mount Kilimanjaro, annual awareness raising events at Cartier International Polo, selling cakes at London’s Leadenhall Market and family fun days at Thorpe Park.
To celebrate its third birthday, the Group ran a competition for its staff to design a new Foundation logo. The winning design was then used as a basis for the development of a new website.
The new website, aimed at staff, clients and customers, will encourage further donations and host news and photos from the various fundraising activities.
“The Crown Foundation was born out of a desire to give back, and we are proud that over the last three years we have managed to offer our chosen charities substantial financial support, helping them to make a real difference to people’s lives across UK,” Managing Partner for Crown Group, Charles Beer. “Staff from the Group’s businesses have helped make the Foundation a success, so we wanted to honour their commitment by enabling them to contribute to the new look of the Foundation going forward.”
The new website has details of the chosen charities including Make-A-Wish Foundation and Forces Children’s Trust. It can be found here: Crown-foundation.co.uk.
