Coventry and Warwickshire’s convention bureau has relaunched to help draw more events to the region and streamline the planning process for event organisers.
Coventry & Warwickshire Convention Bureau is a not-for-profit organisation and its newly launched digital platform will provide free services including a venue enquiry service and event planners’ guide.
The new website can also be used as a single touchpoint for delegates with information on travel, eat and drink, things to do, shopping options and a what’s on guide
Formerly known as Conference Coventry & Warwickshire, it has relaunched as part of a revitalised structure for Destination Coventry, the city’s destination management organisation (DMO).
It is responsible for business tourism across the region including Coventry, Rugby, Nuneaton, Leamington Spa, Warwick and Stratford-upon-Avon.
Coventry, which has ranked as the highest UK mid-sized city for business friendliness, is also leading the way in advanced and green technologies, with the city set to be positioned as a key destination for events in these sectors.
Paul McMahon, managing director at Coventry & Warwickshire Convention Bureau, said: “This is a strategic investment in the future of our visitor economy and will strengthen Coventry and Warwickshire’s reputation as a leading destination for business events both nationally and internationally.
He added: “It’s vital that we make the experience of bringing events to the region as easy as possible, by doing so we are confident we can bring a further boost to our already thriving visitor economy and bring new business opportunities to our brilliant network of venues and partners.”
