The Scottish Event Campus (SEC) has announced the renewal of its partnership with Amvale Scotland Ltd as its official provider of medical services following a competitive tender process.
The renewed contract will see Amvale continue to deliver comprehensive medical cover across the SEC Centre, the SEC Armadillo, and the OVO Hydro supporting the safety and wellbeing of visitors at the venue.
Colin Hartley, director of operations at the SEC, said: “While there were a number of strong bids, we are delighted to appoint Amvale based on their wider experience, their track record of working collaboratively and their commitment to ongoing improvement.”
The renewed agreement will help strengthen Glasgow’s ability to host world-class events safely and efficiently, ensuring the medical support on campus meets and exceeds industry standards.
Amvale’s Glasgow-based team will deliver a full range of services, including on-site emergency care, mental health support, rapid response vehicles, and a fully equipped on-site medical centre.
The contract also includes the provision of First Response Emergency Care (FREC 3) certified staff as standard.
“We’re incredibly proud to continue supporting the SEC – a flagship venue not just for Scotland, but internationally. Our teams are dedicated to providing high-quality pre-hospital care and supporting the SEC’s mission to deliver safe and seamless experiences for all”, added Amvale Scotland Ltd CEO, Mike Godfrey.
In addition to supporting major international events, the partnership will continue to play a year-round role in underpinning Glasgow’s vibrant events sector and visitor economy.
