With Sticky Wicket, coined ‘the events industry’s summer day out’,  scheduled for 17 July at Old Wimbledonians Cricket Club, the event is more than just cricket and beers.

Over the last 18 years the events industry, through Sticky Wicket, has raised over £600,000 for The Lord’s Taverners.

Laura Tythcott, chair of Sticky Wicket, said she is proud of the charitable work Sticky Wicket has achieved over the years: She said: “We are very proud. The Lord’s Taverners charity runs life-changing programmes that positively impact the lives of disabled and disadvantaged young people facing the challenges of inequality.’’

The day will feature the Sticky Wicket Cup where teams, which will be made up of events companies, will go head to head. Teams include Easyfairs, Olympia, Nineteen as well as Exhibition News.

Tickets for the day festival are £30 (£25 in advance) which includes a wristband for afternoon beers, wines and non-alcoholic drinks from the bar.

Some great raffle prizes are also available and can be purchased on the day.

All proceeds go to charity, so even if you don’t like cricket, it is all for a worthy cause.
