Over 140 members celebrated industry excellence at the Association of British Professional Conference Organisers’ (ABPCO) flagship event, the Excellence Awards 2024, at Blackpool’s Winter Gardens, 12-13 December.
The two-day programme also brought together industry partners and sponsors – to recognise best practice and dedication in the delivery of events in the Association, Not-For-Profit and Charity sectors.
This year, there was a 57% increase in entries and an uptick of over 20% in attendance.
During the event, guests were able to network and connect and shortlisters and their supporters came together to find out who won an award.
Fifteen categories of awards were announced, with GES winning the award for Industry Supplier of the Year, which was sponsored by Soaring Worldwide.
First Sight Media for NHS Confed Expo 2024 won the Best Digital & Technology Provider award sponsored by Conference News.
RenewableUK won the Best Association Events Team award, sponsored by Olympia Events and Danielle Bounds won the Outstanding Contribution award, which was sponsored by Mice Concierge Ltd.
Meet Blackpool was the destination sponsor for the event, and lead sponsor was the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
