The Meeting Industry Association (MIA)’s annual miaSummit is designed to re-connect and inspire leaders through a series of discussions led by industry experts, at Hilton Liverpool City Centre on 7 November 2024.

This year’s miaSummit will explore topics such as the ‘The changing dynamics of the workplace’ and ‘The role of AI in the business meetings and events industry.’

The opening keynote by leading AI strategist and consultant Katie King will delve into how the practice can revolutionise a variety of areas of the industry, before behavioural scientist Lea Karam leads a session on human complexities.

In his ‘Evolution of food service’ presentation, Simon Stenning will reveal the latest on food and beverage while Professor Paul McGee will lead a motivational session to help attendees achieve better results in work and life.

The programme will also see emcee, presenter and lecturer Shonali Devereux moderate a ‘Workforce of the future’ panel discussion exploring the changing dynamics of the workplace.

MIA chief executive, Kerrin MacPhie, said: “Our flagship annual conference has a pedigree stretching back more than a decade. It offers an opportunity for current and future leaders from across the sector to gather, hear from the experts and share knowledge. As a result, it has become a key event where professionals at all stages of their career can collectively discuss the critical issues and come away with tangible solutions.”
