Bray Leino Events has been awarded the contract by the UK’s Department for Business and Trade (DBT) to provide full operational services at Expo 2025 Osaka. The selection followed a competitive tender process. The international events agency will manage the UK pavilion’s operations, including planning and delivering a comprehensive meetings and events programme over the six-month Expo period.
The programme will showcase UK culture, business, education, and sports, featuring a special celebration for UK National Day. The agency will oversee retail operations at the pavilion, including staffing, product design, sourcing, and supply chain management. A dedicated restaurant and bar service will showcase UK cuisine, while general staffing and support services will ensure the smooth execution of all the UK’s activities at the Expo.
To enhance the UK pavilion’s food and beverage offerings, Bray Leino Events will collaborate with restaurant group Mosimann’s. Osaka-based agency Beyond Limits will support the project by providing local staffing options.
The contract builds on Bray Leino Events’ previous work as DBT’s primary event delivery partner for a range of specialist, ministerial, and trade events, both domestically and internationally, over the next three years.
Expo 2025 Osaka, set to open on 13 April next year, will take place on the 155-hectare site of Yumeshima Island. The event is expected to attract over 28 million visitors, with 160 nations participating. The UK pavilion aims to provide a platform for UK businesses to showcase their offerings globally.
Bray Leino Events MD Luke Brown commented: “It’s an honour to be selected to deliver the UK’s Expo 2025 Osaka activity. Our focus now is to deliver a benchmark for creativity and execution on the world stage – a celebration of all the things that make the UK great.”
CEO Kate Cox added: “The Bray Leino Events team continues to go from strength to strength. Our agency is already a trusted and proven public sector partner for large-scale international events. Expo is another chance to demonstrate that quality and professionalism. We look forward to making this Expo live long in people’s memory.”
