Over 350 team members from global creative communications group DRPG gathered for its annual summer conference, which focused on wellbeing, resilience and maintaining positive mental health.
New colleagues from The Special Event Company in the USA and Birmingham-based OWB Creative, recently acquired by the group, were also in attendance at the Hilton Metropole, Birmingham.
Guest speakers Rebecca Mander and Nick Elston delivered keynotes on mental resilience, offering practical wellbeing skills applicable both in and out of the workplace.

Group CEO Dale Parmenter said: “This conference was an opportunity to pause and celebrate our successes while focusing on our team’s resilience for the busy months ahead. We aim to equip our team to handle everyday stresses, considering the current global economic, environmental, and socio-political climate.”
The Next Gen board, comprising team members aged 18 to 24, announced a relaunch of the in-house learning and development function, ‘The Academy’, with new tools for team development. They also provided an update on the ‘My Performance’ programme, launched earlier this year to help team members monitor their career progression.
Alicia Wilson, head of people at DRPG, highlighted the tailored approach of The Academy, designed to accommodate the diverse skills of DRPG’s team, from event project managers to digital developers.
The conference concluded with team members testing their resilience skills at The Bear Grylls Adventure, followed by a drinks reception hosted by the NEC and a dinner at the Metropole, ending with a Drag Bingo experience by Berry Productions Ltd.
