SLX, a provider of technical solutions for live events, culture and sports, has announced a series of new client wins and ongoing partnerships ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
As an official supporter of broadcast lighting and Rigging for Paris 2024, SLX is set to undertake one of its largest projects, providing services for 29 venues around Paris.
SLX has also confirmed its continued role with The Hundred, the UK’s five-week, eight-venue summer cricket series, which began on 23 July.
Beyond sports, SLX has extended its advanced lighting services to notable names in theatre and entertainment. Following a successful run since 2018 with the West End production of SIX The Musical, SLX is now supporting the show’s international tour. Additionally, it is providing technical expertise for the Hear You Come Again UK Tour.
Long-standing collaborations continue with the Welsh National Opera and English Touring Opera, and this summer, SLX will work with venues such as Underbelly and Grange Fest at The Stand during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.
SLX’s reach has also grown in the corporate, museum and heritage sectors, with new clients including Dick Lovett and Porsche and the Royal Horticultural Society. The company will also support the B Corp Louder Than Words Event in Oxford in September, providing a full environmental impact report.
SLX has shown consistent growth since the pandemic and aims to achieve £30 million in revenue by 2030. Investments in new technologies and sustainable practices have been central to this growth. The company’s delivery vehicles now run on HVO fuel, and over 50% of its head office energy comes from solar sources.
SLX CEO Alastair Currie said: “2024 is proving to be a big year for us. We’re showcasing our ability to handle large-scale events like the Paris Olympics, while expanding our services to diverse cultural, arts, heritage, and sporting events. This growth reflects our commitment to technical expertise, innovation, and sustainable business practices.”
