In the morning of 3 July 2024, the Tall Ship and navy training vessel of Colombia ARC Gloria will make a grand arrival in London (Canary Wharf), marking the culmination of its voyage across North America and Europe, which includes visiting seaports in the United States, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Belgium, France, The Netherlands, and, last but not least, the United Kingdom.
As a revered national symbol, the ARC Gloria also serves as an itinerant Embassy that promotes Colombian culture and strengthens diplomatic ties.
The arrival of the ARC Gloria in London is timed to tie in with the commemoration of 200 years of diplomatic relations between Colombia and the UK in April 2025 and the Colombian Embassy is planning a series of high-level events aboard the Tall Ship.
During 3-5 July the ARC Gloria will dock at Canary Warf and will open to the public to go on board and learn more about Colombia.
Additionally, there will be some free activities that aim to share a little of Colombian culture with people in London.
