Leeds-based AV supplier AYRE Event Solutions has seen a revenue increase following several successful projects, client wins and team hires.

This uptrend includes a 96% increase from 2023 to 2024, building on the momentum of a 279% increase from 2022 to 2023.

Since growing its venue portfolio outside of Yorkshire, the company said it has been exposed to a pool of new clients, contributing to a significant increase in revenue.

Notable projects include Cryptfactor, Bradford City of Culture, Bradford City Player of The Year, Rotherham NHS Proud Awards 2024, Gastropub Awards, Bradford Broadway, and Leeds United Player of The Year Awards 2024. The production company has also supported various organisations with live streams and hybrid events.

A recent project included providing PA systems for several local authorities for the local elections ballot counts, held in sports halls and leisure centres across the Yorkshire region. In addition to PA, AYRE deployed two-way radios, which provided essential internal comms during the count.

To meet business growth, AYRE has expanded its team and welcomed four new hires, including Ian Naylor, as hire manager in August. Naylor is tasked with bolstering venue partnerships and dry-hire operations. March saw the addition of Ben Ovington as a warehouse technician, focusing on operational efficiency.

AYRE also welcomed Alex Locker as senior project manager and Josh Boothroyd as senior project manager. Locker has over 10 years of experience in the events industry, including more than five years as a project manager, and has worked with clients in the financial, crypto, and construction sectors.

Boothroyd brings 12 years of experience, having managed a range of projects including conferences, awards dinners, tours and international events. The influx of new hires takes AYRE’s headcount to 14.

AYRE has also achieved Safehire accreditation, demonstrating its dedication to providing a safe and professional service, and has joined the Event Suppliers and Services Association (ESSA).

Chris Driver-Ayre, managing director of AYRE Events, said: “We’re incredibly proud of AYRE’s growth over the past 12 months. While the pandemic may feel like a distant memory, its impact lingered, especially in the events industry. However, after four years, we’ve regained our footing and established strong relationships with clients in Yorkshire and beyond.

“As we further diversify our portfolio, our aim is to sustain this upward momentum. Our recent team additions have played a crucial role in facilitating this growth, fueling our ambitious plans for the future.”
