Drawn by the exciting and adrenaline-fueled world of Formula One, innovative technology company, Dexory, looked to Oracle Red Bull Racing’s venue; MK-7, and their Events Team to host their recent two-day showcase. The team sought a contemporary setting that met both its B2B and internal communications objectives.
During the first day, a space was required to effectively exhibit the brand’s robots to clients, and the MK-7 Warehouse offered the perfect flexible area for demonstrations.
For Dexory, MK-7 not only presented a dramatic backdrop for its event, it also afforded them a range of added extras that are not available anywhere else.
Attendees were treated to an appearance from guest speaker, Owen Carless, who is head of mechanical simulation at Red Bull Powertrains. He spoke in depth about ‘innovation without fear’ and the session was so well received that the organisers asked him to return for the second day.
The event also incorporated tours of the reigning Constructors’ World Champions’ Milton Keynes Campus–providing once in a lifetime access to the behind-the-scenes workings of the design and manufacturing process of an F1 car, through to development. The teambuilding activity continued along the same vein, with employees split into teams competing to build the nose cone of an F1 car.
The organiser was particularly drawn to the venue thanks to the range of options on offer: “We were keen to ensure the venue for our events brought together the nature of data-driven technology of robotics and automation and striving for high performance like a Formula One team. The factory tours, speaker and team-building all helped us to build an engaging programme that was well received by both staff and clients alike,” said Dexory’s director of marketing, Jackie Bibby.
Locally sourced menus were tailored to content and created in collaboration with onsite caterer, BaxterStorey. Final selections included a rustic sandwich lunch menu and selection of canapés.
