The Delegate Wranglers, one of the meeting and event industry’s largest social communities has partnered with Lime Venue Portfolio for a specialist afternoon of engaging education and networking looking into the future of the events industry. Topics to be discussed include AI, food, sustainability, accessibility, event technology and legacy.

The event will take place on 25 April at The National Theatre in London including keynotes on event trends 2024 by Alistair Turner, author of the ibtm World Trends Report, Kevin Watson, business director and net zero lead, and Delegate Wranglers’ founder, Neil Thompson, with a live discussion on legacy in the events industry.

Part of the entertainment will include a demonstration of specialist technology from DRPG, that will bring to life how AI is meeting accessibility through event sound and visuals, giving guests a snapshot of a positive future for event creators.

Thompson said: “This event will be the first in a series of educationally-led meet-ups for the Delegate Wranglers, not just educational, but interesting and fun.”

He added: “We like to do things differently. This isn’t sitting in a conference room with a load of speakers at lecterns. We’ll have a day of inspiration, from the way the event has been designed, the food we put on the table, the content we’re putting on, and to how we’ll bring it all together in the stunning setting of the National Theatre.”

Jo Austin, sales director of Lime Venue Portfolio said: “In all my experience within the industry I’ve never witnesses such a fast pace of change, from AI and accessibility to sustainability and the cost of putting on events. We’re all looking to catch up. This event is here to help us do that, and maybe get ahead.”
