Central London venue, Regent’s Events, has announced it can now accommodate 2,000 guests for outdoor events.

The announcement follows the venue’s recent financial year, which reported a 57% increase in revenue and a 33% increase in the average scale of events held at Regent’s. Average guest numbers for outdoor events were already increasing pre-pandemic and have continued to do so since 2021.

To accommodate demand, the venue, which previously advertised its space for up to 1,200, has implemented a series of changes. For example, it has introduced a larger wet-weather contingency marquee, a more sustainable solution to generating power to reduce the reliance on generators and fossil fuels, and upgraded lighting and safety precautions.

Regent’s held its biggest corporate event to date in June, trialling 1,600 guests. Following this, the venue underwent further risk assessments in order to host 2,000 guests.

Scott Masterton, director of catering and events, Regent’s, said: “This is a huge step for us as an events venue. We’ve always had the space to potentially hold such large numbers, but now we have the infrastructure too. With this increase, we can accommodate more diverse and dynamic events.”
