Global staffing partner for brand experiences, Elevate, has launched ‘ElevateHer’ – a new initiative that aims to reduce the gender gap and minimise discrimination against women in the workplace.
Carina Filek (pictured), global COO, Elevate, said: “Whilst there’s been considerable change over recent times for women in the workplace, we still have a long way to go. As a woman that’s had to encounter many barriers right from when I was on the field as an event manager, to even now in my role at C-suite level. I’ve learned that we need to enable a more equitable solution and situation for women in business.”
About ElevateHer
As part of the initiative, Filek said Elevate will be identifying opportunities to better support women through policy creation. “It will cover matters that women need and want, like female health, childcare, fertility and more,” she explained.
The agency will run consultations internally, and across the wider events industry – to ensure it captures the topics that are relevant.
“We’ll be sharing these policies in a template fashion to allow other businesses to use and adopt with ease,” said Filek.
“Plans are still in the works, but we are looking to organise roundtables and events to bring people together to support through discussion, education, influence and action,” she added.
