Sticky Wicket, the events industry’s charity cricket day, will return for its 16th edition on 20 July.
The event takes place at Old Wimbledonians Cricket Club in South West London, starting at 10am. The semi-finals and final start from 4.45pm, followed by the on-site after-party.
Twelve teams in total are going head-to-head for the Sticky Wicket Cup, sponsored by Live Buzz, including: Exhibition News, Nineteen Group, ExCeL London, DMG, Raccoon Events, Informa, Aztec/Farnborough, Closer Still Media, RX Global, Olympia, Easyfairs and Clarion Events.
The event raises funds for the Lord’s Taverners charity, which supports disadvantaged young people through sports activities. Tickets for the day are £25 (£20 in advance), including a wristband for afternoon beers, wines and non-alcoholic drinks from the bar.
Toby Wand, chair, Sticky Wicket, said: “We are very proud that over 16 years the events industry has collectively raised over half a million pounds for The Lord’s Taverners through Sticky Wicket. The Lord’s Taverners charity runs life-changing programmes that positively impact the lives of disabled and disadvantaged young people facing the challenges of inequality.’’
