Nominations have opened for the Meetings Industry Association’s 2023 miaList.
Celebrating individuals, initiatives, and teams, the miaList showcases the best of the sector and recognises those who go above and beyond the call of duty to make their organisation a success.
New for this year, a dedicated Agency of the Year will accompany the existing Supplier of the Year and Venue of the Year titles. The mia will also be championing the next generation with an all-new Star of the Future category.
Returning titles, which will continue to be recognised at the ceremony at Park Plaza Victoria London on 6 October, include dedicated Team of the Year awards for those in events and operations, sales and marketing, as well as those representing destinations. Having been introduced last year, accolades for Best Innovation, Sustainability initiative and Diversity, Equity and Inclusion initiative will also return.
Kerrin MacPhie, chief executive of the mia, said: “The launch of the miaList is always one of the most exciting times in the mia calendar, and we’re eager to see who the 2023 cohort of industry champions will be when they’re added to our coveted roll of honour later this year.”
Anyone who is working within or that is associated with the UK’s business meetings and events industry is eligible to be nominated.
All nominations will be assessed by a panel of judges. There will also be an additional judging stage for all team and initiative awards, where those shortlisted by the panel will be subject to a weighted public vote.
