ExCeL London has joined forces with the Safer Business Network as part of a range of measures to further enhance safety and security at the venue and its 100-acre campus.

Recognised by the Metropolitan Police Service and the City of London, Safer Business Network is a community interest company, coordinating and administering business crime reduction partnerships (BCRPs) across London.

Safer Business Network has successfully worked with businesses across London for more than 12 years, creating safe environments for businesses, staff and their customers through effective information sharing, training programmes and productive relationships with police forces and councils.

Hannah Wadey, CEO of Safer Business Network, said: “We are so pleased to expand further into Newham. A partnership between Safer Business Network and ExCeL London will ensure we can proactively identify and tackle emerging trends quickly, before they escalate.”

Henry Havis, head of security for ExCeL, added: “We are extremely pleased to welcome the BCRP team in to the ExCeL security family and we look forward to working in partnership with the Safer Business Network and the Metropolitan Police who are also investing in the project. Our hope is that this partnership will move beyond the campus and help to support the local community in the Royal Docks, keeping our streets safer and investing in the future of the area.”
