Creative communications agency, Brands at Work, has appointed James Shepheard-Walwyn as its chief commercial officer, North America.

The appointment comes as the agency focuses on its presence in the US market, with an existing client base enhanced by several upcoming projects.

Shepheard-Walwyn will lead the agency’s growth strategy in the US, expanding relationships with founding clients and focusing on new business opportunities, while managing Brands at Work’s operations stateside.

He brings over 25 years’ experience in creative communications and events, having built, scaled, and sold several US operations and lived and worked in the US for 20 years. During this time, Shepheard-Walwyn managed some of the biggest IPO roadshows, as well as large-scale events for brands such as Ford, Morgan Stanley and UBS.

Speaking on the appointment, founding partners John Birger and Karen Kadin, said: “We feel privileged to welcome James into our business. His passion for client service and natural ability to communicate and forge meaningful relationships is clear to see.”

Shepheard-Walwyn added: “Brands at Work’s ability to drive meaningful behavioural change, by telling engaging stories and creating compelling experiences is truly exceptional. The opportunity to support our existing North American clients and to forge new relationships this side of the pond is exciting.”
