Manchester-based events agency Make Events recently launched its inaugural Anything is Possible Conference at O2 Victoria Warehouse.
Stemming from the ‘Anything is Possible’ brand, founded by Make Events’ CEO Holly Moore, the inaugural conference focused on personal and professional development.
Moore opened the event with a keynote explaining her journey of starting Make Events, overcoming OCD and launching the Anything is Possible brand.
She said: “I wanted to bring together the aesthetics of a brand focused event to excite all the senses but with carefully curated content and speakers that would take delegates on a journey to bring awareness to them of how and what they could improve.
“I truly believe this is the first event of its kind in the UK. Having delivered brand events for over a decade together with investing in my own personal development, I believe created the perfect storm.”
Attendees then heard keynotes around goal setting, habits and consistency, kindness, finance and manifestation.
On setting goals, Jess Layla, co-founder, Lifestyle Lean, said: “We really do recommend having your goals laid out in front of you. You can have all of these goals set in your mind, but if it’s not laid out in front of you, it’s not going to be clear what you’re working towards. You need to make it real; you need to start talking it into existence and seeing it every day.”
Guest speakers included Sandy Macaskill, co-founder, Barry’s Bootcamp UK; Jake Humphrey and Professor Damian Hughes from The High Performance Podcast; Laura Pomfret and Holly Holland, founders of Financielle; Rosie Nixon, creative brand ambassador, Hello! Magazine; Andrea McClean, CEO and Nick Feeney, COO of This Girl This Guy on Fire; Fats Timbo, creator, author and comedian; Pride of Britain’s Joanne Thompson; as well as authors Tonia Buxton and Roxie Nafousi.
Attendees also had the opportunity to take part in interactive ‘Wheel of Life’ workshops. The speakers and workshop guides explored topics such as confidence building; the importance of sleep; relationships; elevating and building a career, and physical/mental health.
