Fusion Meetings & Events (FME) has reported a strong recovery for the MICE sector.
In the past six weeks, the business has attended IMEX Frankfurt and hosted an event in Iceland for International Perinatal Collegium (IPC), a group of medical doctors and professors who come together to advance practices and medicines in perinatal care.
Stuart Evans, director, Fusion Meetings & Events, has also carried out two site inspections. The first in Germany for the US based International Student Exchange (ISE), which is set to take place in December. The second inspection involved a visit to Malaga to asses possible event venues.
“It’s been fantastic to catching up with the market in Frankfurt, and engaging with clients who have not been able to properly meet since 2019 in Iceland,” said Evans.

“At the end of last year, we had contracted over 100 events, some planned for 2022 and some for 2023,” Evans reveals
“Many smaller events, with up to 200 people, had already taken place since the summer of 2021, but things were not completely back to normal, I’d say that this is only really starting now, which is good news,” he added.
In addition to the ISE, Fusion Meetings & Events are also planning a 1,000+ plus delegation for ESGCT (The European Society for Gene & Cell Therapy) which will be held at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre in October 2022.
