Event safety software developer, Halo Solutions, has secured £750,000 in investment from the Midlands Engine Investment Fund (MEIF) managed by Midven, part of the Future Planet Capital Group to support its growth plans.
Based in Mansfield, Nottinghamshire, Halo combines technology and police experience to streamline event safety, protecting event attendees and organisers. The software ensures every person involved in the events, from the control room to emergency services, are brought together through one central software system.
The software developer is partnered with the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and Highfield Awarding Body for Compliance, and offers consultancy and training, testing and readiness exercises and intelligence management.
Growth plans
The MEIF funding aims to accelerate Halo’s growth by enabling its technical, sales and operational teams, enabling the company to further develop its product offering and add more safety features in multiple languages to increase public safety.
Lloyd Major, CEO and founder of Halo Solutions Limited, said: “The additional finance will help us accelerate our growth by allowing us to expand our team by 200% and further develop the system to incorporate the feedback from clients and deliver new and exciting ideas of our own.”
Surjit Kooner, investment director at Midven, added: “The extensive experience of the co-founders at different levels within the police force and at the National Counter Terrorism Police Tactical Support Unit provides an ideal background for developing the cloud-based platform.
“Further legislation changes and pressure on event management companies to prioritise public safety will drive demand for more help.”
