Aeorema, the owner of agencies Cheerful Twentyfirst and Eventful, has announced its strongest trading year to date.
The strategic communications group has experienced a 130% increase in revenue due to the return of in-person events. This includes events such as Cannes Lions, which took place in June, where Aeorema had its largest presence.
The increased revenue is also due to virtual and hybrid events. The demand has resulted in an excess of £1.65m for the company.
Commenting on the news, Steve Quah, CEO, Cheerful TwentyFirst, said: “I’m delighted to be reporting our best financial performance in the history of the company, demonstrating the success of the shift in strategy over the last two years.”
Other successes include winning Creative Team of the Year at the 2022 Conference News Agency Awards for the fourth year running.

Andrew Harvey (pictured), managing director of Cheerful Twentyfirst, added: “It is immensely rewarding to see the strength of our global brand experience offering supporting the continued success of Aeorema Communications plc.
“Cheerful Twentyfirst is growing at an exciting pace, and I am so proud of the agency for our contributions to the group’s best financial results to date.”
“Both Cheerful Twentyfirst and our own Eventful team, have worked tirelessly over the past two years to source and design creative solutions for our clients and we are proud to have been able to maintain our service standards.
“We are excited to see what 2023 holds and continuing on our growth journey as an agency and personally as a team,” commented an Eventful spokesperson.
