VenuIQ has announced its on-site tech partnership with Sticky Wicket 2022.
This year’s Sticky Wicket is being held on 27 July at Old Wimbledonians Cricket Club. The event industry day out has raised almost £480,000 for the Lord’s Taverners charity over the past 13 years. The tournament aims to help improve the lives of young people facing inequality.
About the partnership
VenuIQ- which has previously worked with most of the organising companies- will be using its mobile app technology to provide live scores, team sheets, innovative designs and electronic fundraising with the aim of “taking Sticky Wicket to the next level”.
The Sticky Wicket Steering Group includes Toby Wand of TW Events, Laura Tythcott of Whitespace Xpo, Jeremy Rees of ExceL London and more.
Wand said: “It’s great to bring a technology partner on board for this superb event. The day is about playing sport and raising cash for an amazing charity but networking and knowing who is going to be there to plan some time to meet up is important too. VenuIQ and the new Sticky Wicket app will provide all of this and more and we welcome them on board.’
Luke Buckley, head of partnership network, VenuIQ, added “I knew of Sticky Wicket around four years ago. Ed Tranter has always been an avid supporter. When asked by Toby to help out, we couldn’t agree fast enough. A great cause, run by great people.”
Tickets are £20 in advance. Book here and download the Sticky Wicket app.
