Venues of Excellence has welcomed Blackpool’s new Conference and Exhibition Centre into its membership, providing sales and marketing support to the venue.
Mandy Jennings, CEO, commented: “We are finding that venues are approaching us with the prospect of membership, to discuss how the consortium will benefit their venue. We have retained 98% of our membership this year, which I feel is reflected in the great team we have of hospitality professionals we have within Venues of Excellence.”
Julie Vincent, conference and events sales manager, Winter Gardens Blackpool, added: “Venues of Excellence are going to be an integral part in building awareness of the continued development taking place both at the Winter Gardens and Blackpool as a whole.
“With the opening of our new Conference Centre, this is the first major building development to happen on the Winter Gardens complex since the construction of the Opera House, therefore, we want as many conference organisers to be aware of this as possible.”
