MeetingPlay and Aventri complete event software merger

Event software companies MeetingPlay and Aventri have announced the completion of their merger, backed by growth equity investment from Sunstone Partners and Camden Partners.

Each year, MeetingPlay and Aventri power a combined total of more than 50,000 events and service over 10,000 companies for over 7m attendees. This merger will aim to provide full-service technology solutions for meetings and events of all sizes.

The new name of the company is yet to be announced. Eric Lochner (pictured) has also been named CEO of the new company. Lochner has over 25 years of experience in building technology companies, with a record of mergers and acquisitions.

Lochner said: “We have a strong opportunity to deepen the process of hosting in-person, hybrid and virtual events and are excited to be able to better support meeting planners and event organisers while offering a wider range of products and experiences.”
