Collaborate Global has launched Plan V, a service for anyone concerned that their physical event plans for 2022 will now need to go virtual or hybrid.

Plan V is inviting planners to book a 15-minute ‘discovery’ phone call with Collaborate’s Ollie Biddle to discuss how the transition from in-person to digital could work, in order to keep business goals on track.

Planners will then be offered free-use of the Hopin platform while Collaborate handle the technical aspects of the transition. Biddle will discuss either transforming like-for-like the physical event into a virtual one or, scaling in-person attendees up or down using a hybrid solution.

Ben McMahon, founder at Collaborate Global said: “The first question we always get asked is about the platform. It shouldn’t be about the platform, it should be about your guest’s experience, so for that reason we are giving away the platform for free.

“Confusion is at the heart of the events industry right now, confusion around plans, logistics and platform. We have been there, had the conversations and now want to help those who are questioning how to do it.”

The plan will use Collaborate’s hybrid event with Aston Martin as a case study – as the launch event remains the company’s benchmark for converting a physical event to the online world.

It was spawned from a problem which Collaborate saw in moving physical events online, that many organisers focus to much on the platform. The plan will aim to refocus these events to the experience, rather than the nitty-gritty of platform capabilities.
