Brand experience agency, Avantgarde London, has hired Rees Calder as its new business development director.

In his new role, Calder will be overseeing and leading on all new business activity at Avantgarde, working with the agency’s managing director, Stuart Bradbury, and the rest of the senior management team to continue to drive agency growth.

After developing his marketing competencies at a technology start-up, Calder pivoted to business development, securing partnerships for the company before moving on to agency roles. He subsequently headed up business development at the tree and Nucco, part of the UNIT9 Group.

During his career, Calder has secured and grown a range of clients and projects including: Barclays, Just Eat, Arlo, Ticketmaster, Wenzels, RNIB, Bethesda and EasyJet.

Rees will be building on prior success to develop strategies and tactical executions across our growing cliental with the rest of the senior management team.”
