The Events Industry Council (EIC) has welcomed 27 new meeting professionals who earned their Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation in October 2021.

The CMP programme aims to be recognised as a badge of excellence in the events industry.

The programme was launched by EIC in 1985 and aims to provide continuing education, increase professionalism, and enhance career opportunities in all sectors of the industry and promote industry standards, practices, and ethics.

The programme also plans to increase the value of CMPs to their employers and maximise the value received from the products and services provided by CMPs.

Amy Calvert (pictured), CEO, Events Industry Council, said: “We are honoured to welcome the latest class of certified meeting professionals into our industry as we highlight their remarkable professional growth and development. Their commitment to excellence and continued learning is a testament to their strength and resilience in the global business events industry.”
