London-based venue and working arts centre Somerset House has announced the launch of creative team building packages.
Deputy head of commercial events, Kara Clark, said: “With so many offices still closed, people are keenly missing the benefits of being part of a physical team and are looking for new ways to safely regroup, which is still possible for business purposes. As humans we thrive on social interaction and stimulation. We convene to inspire one another and create solutions to today’s problems. Somerset House artists, designers and creators are still safely collaborating in person to bring their ideas to life and businesses can now come and be a part of our creative hub too.”
The Portico Rooms can host up to 25 people for business meetings. A variety of layouts with 2m distancing have been created to appeal to all types of meeting, formal and informal, whilst specialist supplier Broadsword has devised several hybrid options for events including conferencing and streaming.
Somerset House’s offering also includes its courtyard and series of exhibitions, including the recently opened show ‘Rite of Passage’ featuring the works of French-Moroccan photographer Leila Alaoui, in addition to its new café, The Watchhouse. Delegates can also experience a historical tour of the building.
The venue’s on-site caterer has created a number of dishes around seasonal fruits and vegetables, with a list of caterers also available for events.
Somerset House has been open to the public and for small events since July, with the recent 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair seeing incredible 2,000 guests safely attend over the course of three days. The venue is also taking part in Conference News’ ‘Meet Out to Help Out’ scheme which shows organisers which venues are currently available for safely hosting meetings all over the UK.
