DRPG has commenced work on its latest warehouse facility. The 1394 sqm new build at the Group’s Worcestershire studio complex will be completed in December 2020 and is part of a £6m three-year investment programme.
The warehouse facility is part of an ongoing programme of improvements across the Group, including a £1.7m new comms, creative and team wellbeing centre; £500k on a new roof with 750 solar panels; £700k invested in digital technology; new online project management and CRM system; build of a new media and virtual centre at its Windsor site and the opening of the new Cologne HQ, which will go live in September.
In preparation for the return of certain sectors, DRPG will also reopen both live and virtually following the government guidelines, for its annual ‘Recruitment Day’ taking place between 3-4 September.
Dale Parmenter, CEO, DRPG, said: “As difficult as times are, we must remain positive and look to the future. We identified last year that to enable us to achieve our three-year growth plan, we have to continue to invest in our people, facilities and infrastructure – the good times will return, and we have to be ready.
“The pandemic has allowed us to bring forward certain investments, which we had planned for 2021/2. When looking at recent announcements of being in a recession worse for 11 years ago, this cannot be all things considered by turning the tap off to our economy with Covid-19 prevented growth. It will turn around once everything is turned back on.”
