The International Live Events Association (ILEA) UK has announced its 2020/21 board, which will be led for a second term by Cecilia Lavin (pictured), head of EMEA sales at One World Rental.
In a statement released by the association, Lavin noted ILEA UK’s focus is to be an “inclusive and inspiring global community that develops and engages event professionals”.

An additional advisory board has also been put together, which includes Manuela Cadarso of Cheerful Twentyfirst, who will act as sustainability and innovation ambassador, Calum Di Lieto, the editor of Conference & Incentive Travel as diversity and inclusion ambassador and Mark Maher from Boulevard Events, who will act as wellbeing ambassador.
Lavin welcomed the new board but warned of the challenges ahead. She said: “This is an incredibly challenging time for our wonderful industry and the professionals working within it.
“Over the next year we will be working together to champion the live events sector and provide our members and partners with opportunities to reconnect, revive and renovate through our events and educational programme.”
