The Belfry Hotel & Resort has announced that its Brabazon and PGA National golf courses will reopen from 1 June 2020.

The PGA National is a new risk and reward par 4 and its 1st tee layout has been improved with a new tee/green complex.

James Macbeth Stewart, resort director, said: “We’ve received a great response from golfers and our members who can’t wait to get back on the course and we are very thankful for their support. It feels fantastic to be able to welcome them back.

“The safety and wellbeing of our guests and team are our top priority, and we’ve taken the time to ensure we have enhanced safety measures in place. The remainder of the resort will be closed until further notice to comply with government guidance and social distancing measures.”

Stewart added that the resort will donate its green fee income from its opening day to a number of charities locally and across the UK.

Stuart Broad, belfry ambassador, The Belfry, commented: “I am delighted to hear that The Belfry’s golf courses will be reopening next month, and I wish the best of luck to the team who do an incredible job of looking after the 500 acre estate. Golf at The Belfry is first class and I am really looking forward to playing on 1 June when they open.”
