EVCOM has today announced that its Clarion Awards ceremony will be held on a virtual platform due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

EVCOM has said its priority is ‘the safety of entrants and attendees’, and the ‘celebration of their creativity and excellence in the cause-driven world’, and so will be making the ceremony digital in order to follow social distancing rules to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Those attending the awards will be asked to pay a small fee to cover production costs, will receive a party package including an EVCOM Clarion Awards playlist, virtual banners and more. The party package aims to bring the celebration directly to attendees.

DRPG will be hosting the EVCOM Clarion Awards from its studios, following a partnership with EVCOM for the ceremony.

During the ceremony, the winning entrants will be announced and their films shown to those attending.

Claire Fennelow, EVCOM’s executive director, said: “Sustainability is at the core of the EVCOM Clarion Awards, so in a way this is a golden opportunity for us. It reminds us to focus on what this awards scheme is really about: positive impact through creativity. We are very excited to work with DRPG to create an awards ceremony to remember!”

The EVCOM Clarion Awards will take place on 16 July. For more information, and to enter the awards, click here.
