Central Hall Westminster has announced that it has joined the Westminster Venue Collection, a group of venues within the City of Westminster.

This makes Central Hall Westminster the 34th venue to join the collection.

Built in 1912, Central Hall Westminster is central London’s largest purpose-built conference and events centre. The Grade II* Listed building is situated directly opposite Westminster Abbey and has 23 event spaces, allowing it to host events from exhibitions and conferences to concerts and live television shows. As a non-profit organisation, the venue exists to maintain its historic building and to provide money for a number of charitable works.

Chair of Westminster Venue Collection, Rachel Azzopardi, said: “We are very excited to be able to welcome Central Hall Westminster to our ever-growing collection. We are impressed by the way new technology has been introduced to blend seamlessly into the historic architecture of the building. Its capacity to host events from very small to large, high-profile gatherings, makes it a great addition to the collection.”

Managing director of Central Hall Westminster, Paul Southern, added: “Central Hall Westminster has long been a part of the Westminster scene, so we are delighted to become part of this prestigious consortium which brings the most iconic venues together in one place.”
