The Brentford Travelodge, located on Brentford High Street, reportedly caught fire at 02:52 am, with the blaze being under control by 06:53 am.

The fire started in a single storey bin room, located on the ground floor of a neighbouring building, which caused the fire to spread to the adjacent hotel.

The London Fire Brigade tweeted that “ten fire engines and 72 firefighters” helped control the blaze at the hotel.

After the search, 160 guests and staff were successfully evacuated from the fire with no reports of injuries.

Graham Ellis, assistant commissioner, London Fire Brigade, said the firefighters carried out a “systematic search of the hotel”. He adds that this is an “excellent example of multi-agencies working together to bring a challenging incident under control with no injuries.”

The Police, London Ambulance Service, Hounslow Council, Transport for London and Travelodge is collaborating to ensure “normality can be resorted to the local community as quickly as possible”.
