Royal Berkshire Conference Centre (RBCC) has unveiled a name change. The Thames Valley venue has relaunched as Reading FC Conference and Events, which it says will “better align the venue brand: with its Madejski Stadium location.
Operations and personnel will remain unchanged under the new Reading FC Conference and Events title and the venue will continue to be managed by Levy UK, which oversees both match day and non-match day catering at the Madejski Stadium.
Kevin Berry, general manager for Levy UK at Madejski Stadium, said: “It’s been an exciting year at Reading FC Conference and Events and the relaunch marks a new era at the venue. We’re really proud to offer world-class facilities and a catering operation to match, so we look forward to continuing to deliver great events and experiences to our guests.”
Nigel Howe, CEO of Reading Football Club, added: “We relish all opportunities to unite our club with local, national or international businesses and continue to warmly welcome enterprise from all manner of different industries to our Madejski Stadium home via our conference facilities. This rebrand will only help to better connect corporate customers to our club.”
Reading FC Conference and Events is situated at Madejski Stadium, home to Reading Football Club since 1998, and offers a mix of 30 flexible meeting spaces ranging from intimate rooms for two up to theatre-style suites for 500 people.
At the start of this season the venue refurbished and renamed the 1871 Suite to launch ‘Club 106’ – inspired by Reading Football Club’s record-breaking title win of 2005-06. The pitch-facing room provides a luxurious and modern choice for corporate meetings, training, networking and private parties for up to 150 guests. Club 106 can also transform into a pitch-side dining room with its own kitchen facilities and private entrance.
